Surprise, Surprise…

After the eventful shopping day, it is lessons as usual today. Grammer, listening, diary writing and oral presentations - the lessons are full of variety. Light showers in the afternoon: seems like there is such a thing as English weather after all. Nevertheless, the workshop programme can carry on as usual and some groups go in the sports hall. TU1 and TU2 are following the footsteps of Thomas Becket in CANTERBURY. The cathedral is truly astontishing. There is also plenty of time for a relaxed stroll through the old part of the town. In the evening it is time for “Surprise, surprise and you will be surprised” in the assembly hall, as announced in the Benenden News.

Our activity team puts on a new show that really gets everyone laughing in the aisles. In Benenden there is, on principal, no Internet or television for the students, and yet Rob (pretend he had) set up a TV connection in the assembly hall. In tonights’ show he zaps through the channels and finds many new, funny, exciting and surprising things going on in the world and also at Benenden. The “surprise” has been a huge success: even on the way to bed, the children cannont stop laughing about the many funny acts.
