Conquering Castles...

We are already starting our second Benenden week. Fantastic weather, great atmosphere – what more could you want? In the morning it is LESSONS AS USUAL. In the afternoon there are workshops and activities for the younger students while the older students have an excursion to “times long past”.

TU3 is making its way to DOVER CASTLE, which is a great big castle at the narrowest part of the English Channel and was defensively very important. The view is fanstastic and thank God we do not have to defend anyone or anything – it is going to be a relaxing day. TU4 is heading to LEEDS CASTLE, which is often called “the loveliest castle in the world”. A beautiful moated castle with a large park, labyrinth, avaries and ponds with white, grey and black swans, it is truly a fairytale castle.

In the evening, the weather god is being good to us and we can start our first big Benenden BBQ in the rose garden. Frankfurters, Käsekrainer, vegetable kebabs, garlic bread, salads and more. As always it is an extremely nice and cosy evening with music and lots of different games until dusk.
